K-Pop Destinations: Jung Yong Hwa's Seoul

CNBlue's Jung Yong Hwa may be the best thing about the drama "Future's Choice." Every time he appears on screen as heir-in-hiding Park Se Joo and flashes that winning smile, viewers are more likely to believe that he is the person Yoon Eun Hye should marry.

If the star of "You're Beautiful" and "Heartstrings" is also your bias, you may be able to visit some of the sites he filmed at the next time you are in Korea.

Like Us on Facebook :

For example, it's easy enough to visit the school that was featured in his drama "Heartstrings." The Seoul Institute of Art School is where he bicycled with and sat in the park with his co-star Park Shin Hye. The school campus is located at Gyeonggi-do Ansan-si Danwon-gu Gojan-dong 640. For more information, call +82 31-412-7100 or visit www.seoularts.ac.kr.

Or you could visit the Miss Lee Café in Insadong, where he and Seohyun, the youngest member of SNSD filmed an episode of "We Got Married." You can sample the jujube latte that Jung Yong Hwa thought tasted like medicine and see if you agree. The cafe is famous for its traditional sweets, such as frozen persimmon, but they also serve tasty lunchboxes. It's in the GS25 Building. Seoul, Jongno-gu, Gwanhoon-dong, 144 St, 2nd Floor
Take the subway to Anguk Station, leave via Exit 6. Walk straight until you saw GS25 on your left, which is the entrance into the shopping district of Insadong. The official website is www.missleecafe.com but its in Korean.

Your odds of actually seeing Jung Yong Hwa and other members of CNBlue may be greater at his agency FNC Entertainment, which is located at 111, Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Even if you never see him there, it's worth checking out this lovely building which recently won a "Beautiful City" award.

Take the Bundang Line subway to Apgujeong Rodeo station, Exit 2. Since it's a long walk, take either bus 140, 240, 362, 3219 or 4212 to the Prima Hotel Station, go left, take your first right and then walk straight through three cross streets. It's on your right.

And as mentioned in a recent K-Pop Destinations article, the KBS studios are where "Future's Choice" is being filmed. Stop by and take a tour.

Seo In Guk Reveals How He Lost Whopping 11 Kilograms

Seo In Guk recently revealed the strict diet plan that helped him lose 11 kilograms (~24 pounds).

The idol appeared as a guest on October 31 broadcast of KBS2 “Happy Together” and shared his weight loss story. When the discussion turned to his strong and healthy-looking image in the swimming-themed movie “No Breathing,” he said, “I don’t have a nice body line by nature. When I first started training, I weighed 76-78 kilograms (~167-172 pounds).”

He proved that his rock-hard body is the result of rigorous discipline by sharing, “In the morning I had an apple, my lunch was a simple vegetable salad, and in the evening I had some cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and tofu. After following this routine for six months, I was lighter than ever before. I got down to 65 kilograms (~143 pounds).”

While the other guests and MCs were impressed by his strong will to lose weight, they also wondered how the idol-turned-actor managed to resist enjoying a variety of tasty foods for such a long period of time.

The other guests sharing their entertaining stories were IU, ZE:A‘s Gwanghee, and Sayuri.

K.Will Jumps To Number 1 On The Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 With His Soulful Hit 'You Don't Know Love'

After a month that has seen top 10 dominance by pop rock trio Busker Busker and solo singer IU, K.Will finds himself in the number one spot on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 this week with his smooth R&B single "You Don't Know Love."

It's likely the song's chart success has something to do with the popular music video starring Chanyeol of the boy band EXO and model Lee Ho Jung as estranged lovers.

"You Don't Know Love " is a product of the successful production team Duble Sidekick. The group has worked with Super Junior, MBLAQ and SISTAR.

Jumping an impressive 33 places from last week, Park Ji Yoon's funky new single "Mr. Lee" featuring San E is in the number two spot on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100.

The song is an innovative mixture of 1990s East Coast hip-hop drum beats and 1970s Motown horn riffs. And drifting on top of that tasty musical backdrop, Park offers several layers of soulful vocals.

In the wake of charges the composers of the IU hit "The Red Shoes" Lee Min Soo and Kim Ee Na plagiarized Nekta's 2009 song "Here's Us," according to the website allkpop, the song dropped two places this week.

IU's single "The Red Shoes" is at number three.

Hanging around in the top five, is the Busker Busker single "Love At First," which had a two week lock on the number one spot on the Billboard K-pop chart, before IU knocked it out of first place, last week.

Busker Busker's "Love At First" is currently at number four in its fifth week on the chart.

With a pulsing techno beat and "Gangnam Style" drum breaks, the minor chord progressions of new T-ara's dance track "No. 9" give the song an epic and original quality.

Although once known as "K-pop's most hated group" because of a bullying controversy that resulted in former member Hwayoung quitting the group, T-ara appears to be back in their fans' good graces.

"No. 9" is at number five in its fourth week on the chart.

The show went off without a hitch at the Beijing Olympic Stadium on October 19. Media reports stated a whopping 70,000 attendees filled the stadium and that public transportation systems surrounding the stadium remained open extra hours to handle the excess number of users that night.

Additionally, it was noted that approximately 18,000 people were brought in to manage the event in different capacities, including a shocking number of security personnel meant to keep the idols safe and the fans in line.

The military police force offered up 10,000 officers to aid in the security efforts and an additional 6,000 personal body guards were also hired by SM Entertainment to help protect the singers. It is also estimated that 2,000 volunteers were also brought in to help with security for the SMTown in Beijiing concert.

But it wasn't all just idols and security - in addition to the 46 artists that performed at Saturday's show, 16 dancers and a staff of 190 flew to China for the gigantic show.

The October 19 show was the first time SM Entertainment held a show of this scale in Beijing.
